Two men are in hospital with gunshot wounds after an incident in southeast Calgary late Monday night.
Just before midnight, a car slammed into a house on the 2200 block of 26th Street southeast.
When police officers arrived, they found a man in the car suffering from a gunshot wound.
Three other men were located nearby, and one of them had also been shot, police say.
Both men are in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Shaida Hussein, who lives at the house, had just gone to bed when it happened.
"And I heard some booms and then I heard glass shatter and then the house shook really," she said.
"I looked out the window and I noticed there was like a car in my basement and I looked outside and I noticed that someone was running away," she said.
The men involved in the crash are not cooperating with investigators, police say.
"The other two males were interviewed along with the two victims. And at this point we are not sure what led up to the accident or the shooting," said Det. Steve Adair.
