A locket stolen from an Edmonton home last week contained a dead baby's ashes.
The homeowner and the police are now trying to get it back.
Police responded at about 1 p.m. on Friday after the unidentified homeowner called about a break and enter at a southeast Edmonton residence.
The only thing reported stolen was a jewelry box with several items inside.
One was heart-shaped locket that contains the ashes of the homeowner's baby boy, who died at birth in 2011.
Police think the break-in happened sometime after 11 a.m. on Friday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
