Two homes were badly damaged by a fire Wednesday night in Erin Woods in southeast Calgary.
Crews were called to a house that was burning on Erin Meadows Way S.E. at about 11 p.m. MT.
The blaze had already spread to the roof of a neighbouring house when firefighters arrived, officials say.
Five people got out of the houses safely. There were no injuries.
Damage to both houses was extensive. Two other houses sustained minor exterior damage, the fire department says.
A fire investigator is working to determine what caused the fire.
It's believed the houses had working smoke alarms.
