Tinubu, Amaechi fight over Senate President seat

Abuja - The battle for who becomes the Senate President has divided the All progressives Congress into three camps, reports Naij.
The different camps are seriously pushing for their candidates to emerge the Senate President when the new Senate is inaugurated on May 29.
These blocs are the Buhari/Northern bloc which is made up of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari and his supporters; the Tinubu/South-west bloc led by the former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors who decamped to APC in 2013, led by the Rivers state governor, Chibuike Amaechi, and Bukola Saraki.
While the Tinubu camp is said be behind the Senate minority leader, Senator George Akume, for the office, the Amaechi bloc is pushing hard for the emergence of Saraki.
